Rita C. Crook
March 20, 1920 - March 5, 2013


Rita C. Crook, 92, of Hanover, entered into Godís eternal care Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.

Born March 20, 1920 in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late Agnes Myers McClain; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd E. Crook, who died in 1996; and a grandson, Scott Bollinger. She was a former employee of Macke Vending of SKF USA, Inc., Buppís Dairy and Colonial Fair.

Mrs. Crook was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a den mother for the churchís Cub Scout Pack 103. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to casinos. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and dancing.

Survivors include her daughter, Judith A. Bollinger and her husband, Irvin, of Hanover; two sons, Lawrence E. Crook and his wife, Bobbie, of Hanover and Frederick A. Crook and his wife, Cheryl, of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Todd, Neil and Chris Bollinger, Tabitha Thomas, Jessica Weaver, and Douglas and Kevin Crook; one step-granddaughter, Kelly Leister; ten great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover with The Rev. James E. Lease serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 6-8:00 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be held privately in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church; 5055 Grandview Road; Hanover, PA 17331 or to VNA Hospice of Hanover & Spring Grove; 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
