Ruth Hoke Brenner, 93, of Cross Keys Village, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2026 at The Brethren Home.

Born on Monday, February 1, 1932 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Erma Thoman Hoke. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Philip F. Brenner, who died in 2017; a brother and a sister. Ruth was a graduate of Eichelberger High School and later attended Rider College in Trenton, NJ. She was an employee of the former First Federal Savings and Loan in Hanover, Brooks Shoe and Hanover Iron Works. A member of Trinity United Church of Christ, she enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Brenner and his wife, Mary, of Camp Hill; two daughters, Patricia Wildasin and her husband, Brent, of Montclair, VA; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on August 16, 2025 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350.
