Ronald E. Sullivan

Ronald E. Sullivan, 80, of Spring Grove, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2024 at Genesis Healthcare Gettysburg Center.

Born on Saturday, February 17, 1945 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Marlin Edward Sullivan and Pauline Elizabeth Miller Sullivan Stremmal. He was also preceded in death by his step father Norman Cletus Stremmal; and a sister, Linda Stremmal.

Ronald retired from Magnesita Refractories Co. and was a member of the Hanover VFW Post 2506, Hanover AMVETS Post #22, McSherrystown Moose 720, The Hanover Home Association, and the McSherrystown Home Association. He found great joy in going to different yard sales and loved traveling. Ronald would never be found without his passport. He also loved his dogs and feeding the local ‘critters.’

Survivors include three children, Judy Therit and her husband Steve, Tina Ratcliffe and her companion, Ray Marshall, and Monica Dolheimer and her companion, Jeff Laughman; seven grandchildren, Dusten, Brandie, Emalee, Cole, Trent, Morgan, and Taylor; nine great grandchildren; seven siblings, Larry Sullivan, Donna McWilliams, Terry Stremmal, Karen Small, Sherry Dubbs, Deb George, and Bob Stremmal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
