Robert D. Sneeringer, 82, of Hanover, beloved husband of Donna Fritz Sneeringer, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, December 22, 2025 at UPMC Hanover.
Born on Monday, March 1, 1943 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Mussetta M. (Schuhart) Sneeringer. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Brady; seven brothers, James, John, Richard, Edwin, Samuel, Mark and Stephen; and four sisters, Pauline, Evelyn, Mary and Agnes. A 1960 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Robert was employed by Middleburg Manufacturing/Genesco for 33 years, retiring as plant manager. He later worked for St. Joseph School for ten years. Robert was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and various clubs in the Hanover area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball and football, and was an avid Notre Dame and Los Angeles Dodgers fan.
In addition to Donna, his wife of 65 years, Robert is survived by a daughter, Lisa Brady; a son, Robert D. Sneeringer Jr. and his wife, Shelly; four grandchildren, Toshia Brady Brodbeck and her husband, Nate, and Marissa, Alexandra and Joel Sneeringer; a great-grandson, Knox Brodbeck; two brothers, Albert Sneeringer and his wife, Elaine, Eugene Sneeringer; two sisters, Carol Michnowich and her husband, John, and Sue Sanders and her husband, Wayne; and many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held.
