Robert David Leppo, 95, of Hanover, beloved husband of Anita E. (Dawson) Leppo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his home.
Born on Saturday, June 6, 1931 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Alice (Rudisill) Leppo. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Sartell; and a brother, Frederick Leppo. He graduated from Eichelberger High School class of 1951 and served as the class president. Robert was always well liked and a good athlete, lettering in basketball, football and softball. During his years in high school, he also served as President of the YMCA Youth Club. Upon graduation he joined the Navy and served in the Korean War from 1951-1955. It was during this time he became a pipe fitter. After his discharge from the Navy, he joined George Bixler Plumbing. He enjoyed coaching the Plumbers softball team. Robert was a great cook as well as an avid gardener.
Surviving in addition to Anita, his wife of 66 years, are four children, Alan Leppo and his wife Tracy, David Leppo and his partner Candace, Catherine Houser and her husband David and Robyn Leppo and her wife Ginger. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, Megan and Dawson Leppo and one great-grandchild, Madysin Felton, his nephew, Robbie Sartell and his niece, Anne Sartell-Bidwell.
Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
