Patricia Ann Sontag

Patricia Ann Sontag, 75, passed away on October 8, 2026, at Carroll County Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 17, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia was the daughter of the late Anthony E. Malinowski and Helen M. Ritter.

Patricia enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially cooking for her family, completing crossword puzzles, playing cards with her husband, Krzysztof, and attending oldies concerts. She had a special love for the beach, particularly Ocean City, Maryland, where she enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family.

She also loved traveling, especially to the Caribbean, where she enjoyed the beautiful beaches and unforgettable adventures with those she loved. From Jamaica to Turks and Caicos, Barbados, the Bahamas, and the Florida Keys, every trip was another opportunity to create cherished family memories.

Although Patricia worked as a waitress and later as a manager at the Hilton Hotel, her most cherished role was being a mother to her four boys. Her love for her family was at the heart of everything she did, and the memories they shared will forever be treasured.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Krzysztof Sontag; her four sons and their spouses, Andrew and Lauren Smith, Kevin and Candi Smith, Christopher Sontag and Heidi Appel, and Adam Sontag; her 12 grandchildren, Mickie, Corey, Abbie, Kevin, Andrew, Samantha, Sarah, Mackenzie, Kolton, Kamden, Kashton, and Bohdi; her sister, Susan; and Susan’s children, Cyndi, Chris, and Amy.

A viewing will be held at Panebaker Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow.
