Nancy E. Crouse

Nancy E. Crouse, 91, of Hanover, loving wife of Richard E. Crouse, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at her home.

Born on Thursday, April 18, 1935 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Edward H. and Margaret (Staub) Blettner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janet Blettner Zinn. A 1953 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, she was a former employee of Nationwide Insurance, Hanover Hospital, York Federal Savings & Loan, and retired in 2002 from Sheridan Press. Nancy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she served on the church council, was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #103 and was also a Brownie leader. She enjoyed playing tennis and cards with her card club, and camping.

In addition to her husband of nearly 72 years, she is survived by four children, Douglas Alan Crouse and his wife Nancy, of Wildomar, CA, Daniel Elliot Crouse and his wife Christine, of Mechanicsburg, Maresa Ann Crouse and Andrew William Crouse, both of Hanover; six grandchildren, Sarah Herman and her husband Jeffrey, Ashley Tehrani and her husband Dan, Benjamin Crouse, Amy Crouse, Tara Groft and her husband Scott, and Emily Crouse; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Grant Herman, and Penelope and Elizabeth Tehrani.

A memorial mass will be will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover by The Rev. Cole Mase. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
