Melba J. Smith, 88, of Hanover, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Friday, May 18, 1934 in Brown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Bernard F. and Octavia E. Hassinger Smith. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Bittinger. Melba was a graduate of Juniata College and retired from International Business Machine (IBM). She enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include one sister, Nancy S. Wagner; and four nephews, Michael Bittinger, Douglas Grimes, Robert Grimes, and Patrick Grimes.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
