MaryJane LeGore, 100, of Homewood Living Plum Creek, Hanover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Homewood. Married in 1945, she was the loving wife of Charles Alva LeGore who died July 8, 2011.
Born June 20, 1925 and raised on a farm in New Oxford, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Emma (Bechtel) Wildasin. She was a 1942 graduate of New Oxford High School and was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover. She worked as a dental receptionist for Dr. Gerald Krepps for ten years, and enjoyed square dancing with the Hanover Pacers and going to the beach in Lewes, DE and Cape Hatteras, NC.
Loving and selfless, she always put her children and family above all else. Her home was a place of comfort and laughter. A dedicated homemaker, she found joy in cooking and taking care for her loved ones. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Surviving is her daughter, Sharon Czapp and her partner, Barry Sentz, of Hanover; grandchildren, Bart Stevens and his wife, Tina, of Hanover, and Robert Williams and his wife, Megan, of McSherrystown; six great-grandchildren, Desrayal Schaffer, Leah Stevens, Byron Stevens, Rachelle Stevens, and Morgan and Max Williams; and many beloved great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son in law, Lynne and Raymond Williams; and her brothers, Burnell and Alvin Wildasin.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with The Rev. Faye C. Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 32 W. Chestnut St, Hanover, PA 17331.
