Mary Jane Hollis

Mary Jane Hollis, 91, of New Oxford, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Brethren Home Community.

Born on Friday, June 15, 1934, in Haverford Township, PA, she was a daughter of the late Julian and Lily (Buzza) Hess. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John G. Hollis, who died in 2020; a son, Don A. Hollis; a daughter, Mary Lee Watson; two brothers, Robert and Herbert Hess; and two sisters, Katherine Morris and Betty Ann Parker. Mary loved living in Pennsylvania and while living her later years in New Oxford, she often spoke of her times living in Montana and its beauty. Mary loved Montana for its scenery and wildlife and often spoke of the Rocky Mountains. Mary treasured her times with family and loved talking about her ancestry. Mary was an avid cake decorator and also enjoyed crocheting and reading. She also could be found every evening after supper at the puzzle table at the Brethren Home.

Survivors include two sons, John A. Hollis and his wife, Teresa, and Kenneth A. Hollis; and eight grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Those who wish to attend, please assemble at the cemetery by 8:45 AM.
