Marvin L. Brown

Marvin L. Brown, 92, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hanover Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Saturday, December 2, 1933 in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Elmer and Beulah Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife of nearly 43 years, Geraldine (Kaighn) Brown, who died in 2007; seven brothers, Elmer, Jr., Donald, Francis, Richard, Robert, Nelson and Norman; a sister, Betty; and a granddaughter, Michelle Emmett.

Marvin proudly served his country in the US Army and retired in 2000 as a machine shop foreman with Buchron Tool & Die/CAM Industries in Hanover after 21 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and occasionally gambling at casinos.

Survivors include four children, Debbie Emmett of Stratford, NJ, Mark Brown of Hanover, Sandy Cassell of Cape Coral, FL, and Lisa Brown of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren, Kristy Emmett-Lyons and her husband, Jeff, Brian Herrell and his wife, Kim, Jennifer Dennis and her husband, Sam, Brittany Brown, Meghan Tavares and her husband, Connor, Anthyn Brown and Jared Braswell; and five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Luke, Hailey, Emma and Wyatt.

A private service will be held, per Marvin’s request.
