Loretta Agnes Zents, 81, of York Springs, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born on Sunday, February 13, 1944 in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Anna Livelsberger Bevenour. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 9 years, Larry Dean Zents, who died in 1976; and a brother, Linus “Lin” Bevenour. Known by many names including, Letty, Momma Ag and Old Gram, she was a 1962 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Loretta proudly served her country in the US Marine Corps and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing BINGO and lottery tickets, and completing crossword puzzles. Moreover, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include four children, Susan M. (Andy) Hoff of York Springs, David M. Zents of Littlestown, Mark D. Zents of Hanover, and Brenda M. (S. Jean) Devaney-Zents of Salisbury, NC; eight grandchildren, Desirae (Jaremi Hanson) Snyder, Cierra (Joshua) Coleman, Andrew (Bri) Hoff, Jr., Alyssa (Mike) Barber, Shawn (Amanda Lahner) Eckles, Gregory C. Eckles, II, Michael Musotto and Megan Humphries; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie and Tony; seven sisters, Pat, Marie, Barbie, Vivi, Bobbie, Elaine and Deb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on October 4, 2025 from 2 to 4:00 PM at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover. Loretta will be laid to rest, with military honors, beside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
