Krishan Ghawana

Krishan K. Ghawana, 74, of Hanover, PA, beloved husband of Betty Unger Ghawana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Claremont Nursing and Rehab Center, Carlisle, PA.

Born on August 18, 1952 in Sandhole, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh State, India, he was the son of Mangat Ram and Ruma Devi Thakur.

Krishan retired as a physician after many years of service.

Surviving in addition to Betty, his wife of 20 years, are his son, Manlnder Singh of India, his grandson, his brothers, Kuldeep Ghawana, Tarlok Singh both of India, his sister, Kusum of India, his brothers-in-law, Terry Unger of York, PA, Stanley Unger of Hanover, PA, his five sisters-in-law, Linda Cool, Bertie Unger both of Fairfield, PA, Lisa Unger, Janet Strite both of Hanover, PA, Lillie Unger of Gettysburg, PA, two nephews, one niece and his God Child; Cordell Unger of Hanover, PA.

Krishan was also preceded in death by six brothers-in-law; Raymond Unger, Tom Unger, Harold Unger, Steve Unger, Dennis Unger and Paul Strite.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
