Kealey “Kiwi” Ann Menges was born sleeping on May 3, 2020 at UPMC Hanover Hospital. Though her time on earth was brief, her life carries eternal meaning. She taught us love that exists beyond breath.
From the moment she was known, she was deeply loved. Kealey , our sweet “Kiwi”, changed us forever. In her quiet arrival, she left an imprint on our hearts that will never fade.
Kiwi, given to her by her older brother because he couldn’t quite pronounce her name, became one of the sweetest parts of her story and is something that will continue to be woven into our family and her memory with love and reminder.
She knew only the safety of her mother’s body, wrapped in warmth and love from the very beginning. The steady rhythm of a heartbeat, the quiet protection of the womb, one of the safest places a child can ever exist. She was never without shelter, never without belonging, and never without love.
She will live on in the hearts of her mother, Kasey Harbaugh; her big sister, Kayden; her big brother, Keaton; her grandparents, “Nana” Candy Harbaugh and “Pap” Scott Harbaugh; her great-grandparents, “Pappy” Ronald and “Mommaw” Janice Reed; her aunts Ashley “Ahwee” Harbaugh and Savannah Harbaugh; her uncle, Mason Harbaugh; and her great aunts, uncles, and cousins who carry her memory with love.
There will be no public viewing or services and burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kealey’s memory may be directed to Sweet Grace Ministries to support families walking through the heartbreak of infant loss.
“There is no footprint to small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world,” author unknown.
