Jude F. Ginter, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, August 25 at his home.
Born on Sunday, July 3, 1932 in Hanover, he was the son of the late George F. and Mary (Groft) Ginter. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Hyde; his second wife of 12 years, Madalyn Jago, who died in 1999; a son, Steven Jude Ginter; and a sister, Shirley Dillon. Jude was a 1951 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, and in 1994, he retired after 33 years of service from the former United Telephone, which is now Century Link. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and many local social clubs. Jude enjoyed fishing, boating, working in his yard and playing BINGO.
Survivors include his fiancée, Joyce Jago; and among the many nieces and nephews, Jeannie (Tony) Craumer, Brenda (Jeff) Billman and Sherrie (Dave) Bower, all of Hanover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, August 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
