Jay Mark Eshleman

Jay Mark Eshleman, 79, of Gettysburg and formerly of Hanover, beloved husband of Barbara (Franck) Eshleman, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Genesis Healthcare – Gettysburg Center following a long illness.

Born on Wednesday, September 11, 1946 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Henry and Grace (Wenger) Eshleman. A 1964 graduate of Hempfield High School in Landisville, Mark was a Data Information Specialist in Virginia and Washington, DC area hospitals for many years until his retirement. He later was employed by South Hills Golf Club in grounds maintenance. While residing in Hanover, Mark and Barbara attended the Hanover First Church of God and in his spare time, Mark was a sports enthusiast, who enjoyed playing golf and tennis.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by two daughters, Natalie DelRegno and her husband, Cory, of Westminster, MD, and Nicole Mitchell and her husband, Jarvis, of Holly Springs, NC; four grandsons, Tyler and Kyle DelRegno, and Jackson and Lucas Mitchell; and a brother, Kenneth Eshleman and his wife, Dorothy, of Lititz.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with Rev. Kevin A. Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
