Jane Arden Landis Wallick

Jane Arden Landis Wallick, 87, wife of Donald Wallick, of Hanover died Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born on April 13, 1939 in York, she was a daughter of the late William Francis Landis, Sr. and Louise Romaine Bupp Landis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James D. Landis and William F. Landis, Jr. and a sister, JoAnne Klinedinst.

A 1957 graduate of William Penn High School in York, she later attended Millersville State Teacher’s College. She spent her career caring for children and owned and operated the J and J Daycare Center in Medford, NJ. Prior to moving to Hanover, she resided in State College, where a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Jane had a compassionate heart; volunteering as a teacher for underprivileged children at Park Forrest Methodist Daycare and volunteering after church services to deliver flowers with her husband. She was a member of the Junior Women’s League in State College, took pleasure in gardening and enjoyed traveling the world, especially river cruises in Europe. She was a good cook and an enjoyed the game of golf.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her daughter Amy Unger and her husband, Steve, of Hanover; two grandchildren, Nicholas Czekaj of State College and Madison Arden Goff and her husband, Carson of Middletown; one great-granddaughter, Campbell Jean Goff; two sisters, Joye Lynne Trone and her husband, Tom of Spring Grove and Judye Garrett and her husband, Skip of York; sister-in-law, Dolores Zinneman of Hanover and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no local services.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers of Visiting Angels and VNA Hospice of Hanover and Spring Grove for the care that they gave to Jane and their family during this time.
