Janet L. "Jan" Bostian

Janet L. "Jan" Bostian, 73, of Abbottstown, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 at UPMC Harrisburg.

Born on Saturday, August 1, 1953 in New Oxford, she was the daughter of the late John Robert Beckner and Dorothy Winand Beckner. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 15 years, Ronald D. Bostian; and two brothers, Robert and Jim Beckner. Jan was a graduate of New Oxford High School and worked for Lincoln Intermediate Unit. She loved animals, games that challenged her mind, flea markets, and her country. Most of all, Jan loved her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Smith; and her companion of 10 years, Bill Myers.

Following cremation, a gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center Inc., 311 Broadway.
