James Kauffman
James Kauffman, 89, of Abbottstown, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 at his home.
Born on Wednesday, April 14, 1926, in Adams County, James retired from the United States Air Force and had served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Riddle.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Louise Kauffman; five children, Terry Welsh, Wilma Lee Blackburn, Melissa Vaugh, Tina Goode, Robin Geiselman; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Mr. Mervin Goode officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
