Gordon “Mace” Woolston, Jr., 80, peacefully entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, June 5, 2026 at his home in Hanover, PA.
Born on Saturday, June 1, 1946 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Gordon Mason Woolston, Sr. and Doris Hause Woolston. He served in the United States Army after which he worked in telecommunications for Verizon until retirement. He embodied the Prayer of Saint Frances through his devotion to his family, as an active member of Church of the Ascension in Westminster, MD, the Door to Virtue #46, and the AF & AM as well as through volunteer work at SAVES and the Boumi Shriners. Mace loved trains, driving, enjoying classical music while drinking his cup of coffee and especially sharing laughter with friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Woolston of 50 years and his daughter, Kimberleigh Woolston. He is survived by his two children, Bryan Woolston and his wife, Kristina, and Kristy Knoedler and her husband, Corey, and seven grandchildren: Arianna, Olivia, Corey Mason, Kristopher, Gracie, Thomas, and Michael.
His memorial service will be held at Church of the Ascension, 23 N Court St, Westminster, MD 21157 on July 11, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
