Francis M. Connor

Francis M. Connor, 87, of Hanover, beloved husband of Joyce (Kellner) Connor, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community.

Born on Friday, August 26, 1938 in El Monte, CA, he was the son of the late Harry Francis and Margaret (Deal) Connor. A strong believer in Jesus, Francis was employed as a diesel truck and heavy equipment mechanic for most of his life. In his younger years, Francis raced stock cars and motorcycles. He collected “O” gauge trains and die cast cars and liked watching bull and horse riding in the rodeo. More importantly, he was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed coaching and supporting his children in all of their activities.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 50 years, are three children, John Mangold and his wife, Shirley, of Gettysburg, Suanna Myers and her husband, Jamie, of Littlestown, and Holly Connor of Hampstead, MD; ten grandchildren, Amanda Connor, whom Francis and Joyce raised as their own child, John Paul Mangold and his wife, Kelli, Connor Myers, Emily Arita and her husband, Adan, Luke Myers, Kaitlin McGlaughlin and her husband, Mike, Natalie Williams, Aleshia Woodring, Tiffany Cole and Alex Mangold; and three great-grandchildren, Dawson, Honesty and Mateo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Mangold; a grandson, Daniel John Mangold; and a sister, Dorothy Webb.
