Ellen L. Black

Ellen L. Black, 83, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her home.

Born on Thursday, April 13, 1939 in Woodlawn, MD, she was a daughter of the late Phillip E. and Viola Kaulfuss Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene L. Black, who died in 1998; and two brothers, Phillip and Lawrence Martin. Ellen was a graduate of Milford Mill High School in Woodlawn.

Survivors include three children, Deb Beal, Tom Black and his wife, Lori, all of Hanover, and Chris Black and his wife, Sabrina, of Westminster, MD; two sisters, Jean Johnson and Dora Lee Dawson; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with The Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service.
