Diana L. Hooper

Diana L. (Mummert) Hooper, 73, of Hanover, loving wife of Terry L. Hooper, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026 at UPMC Hanover.

Born on Saturday, March 21, 1953 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Burnell and Pauline (Myers) Mummert. A graduate of Littlestown High School, Diana was an employee of the former Mason’s department store, which later became Value City. She had also worked for Utz Quality Foods for 13 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Littlestown and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and her dogs.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by two daughters, Sherri Flickinger and her husband, Michael, of Hanover, and Jennifer Hooper of York; two grandchildren, Trevor Flickinger and Brittany McWilliams; two great-grandchildren, Dawson and Madelynn McWilliams; two sisters, Peg Sellman and her husband, Dan, and Jane Matthews and her husband, Jim; a brother, Elwood Mummert and his wife, Jane; and her mother-in-law, Gloria Hooper. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Scott and George Mummert.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover with The Rev. Dr. Joel B. Hummel officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
