David Wayne Helsel, 59, of Hanover, beloved husband of Janice Mayall Helsel, entered into Gods eternal care on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home.
Born on Sunday, October 24, 1965 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Arthur Charles Helsel, Jr. and Sandra Rose Gaeto Helsel. He was also preceded in death by his step mother, Joyce Helsel.
David was a 1984 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School in Saxton, Pennsylvania. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was the owner and operator of Dave’s DJ Service for many years. David was of the Christian faith, he loved the Philadelphia Eagles and was a life member of the Hanover AmVets Post #22 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles - Aerie #1406 in Hanover.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 25 years is a sister, Darlene Helsel of Telford; a step brother, Richard Tressler of Philadelphia; three step children, Gregory Hicks of Dover, Christina Boxler and her husband, Brian, of Hanover, and Amanda Denike and her husband, Roy, of New Oxford; six step grandchildren, Paige Parks and her husband, Gary, Samantha Hicks, Jasmine Forry, Troy Forry Jr., Michael Boxler and Tyler Denike; a step-great-grandson, Bentley Kelly; and his two beloved fur babies, Romeo and Juliet.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
