Constance Grove

Constance Stoumbas Grove, born on April 4, 1939, in Salamanca, New York, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Spokane Valley, Washington. She was the beloved daughter of Julia Valeski and Peter Stoumbas.

A proud graduate of Salamanca High School in 1957, Constance furthered her education at the National School of Aeronautics in Kansas City, Missouri. She served her country with distinction as a secretary in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1961. During her service at South Ruislip Air Force Station in England, she met the love of her life, Gerald Rodney Grove. The two were married on January 21, 1961, at the Church of the Most Sacred Heart in Ruislip Manor, England.

Constance and Gerald made their home in Hanover, Pennsylvania, where they shared 57 wonderful years together. She was a devoted mother to her daughters: Julia Grove Hiles (married to Kirk Hiles) and Terri Grove Griffin (married to Jeff Griffin). She was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Grove, who passed away at birth. Constance’s legacy lives on through her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Known for her unwavering faith and deep devotion to her family. Her steadfast love will be remembered always.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road in Hanover by The Rev. Cole Mase.
