Christine M. Fisher

Christine M. Fisher, 73, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026 at UPMC Harrisburg.

Born on Thursday, April 17, 1952 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Rodney and Elaine (Shultz) Staub. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Donald Heilman Fisher, Jr., who died in 2017; and a sister, Caroline Selfe. A 1970 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, Christine later studied Interior Design at the former Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts in York. She was a former employee of Martin’s Art Gallery, Eisenhart Wallcovering and served as a teacher’s aide at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church Pre-School. She was a member of the “Dining for Women” group and also enjoyed knitting and playing cards with her friends. Christine volunteered time with the Hanover Council of Churches and studied spirituality and Reiki. She dearly loved being a grandmother and was seldom without a furry companion during her life. She also enjoyed spending time with friends from her graduating class from Delone.

Survivors include two children, Neil Eric Fisher of Hanover and Sabrina Anne Meyers and her husband, Joe; a granddaughter, Emma, all of Escondido, CA; a sister, Constance Fogle and her husband, Leidy; two nephews, Zachary Fogle and Carter Selfe; and a brother-in-law, Charles Selfe.

There will be a gathering for family and friends from 6 to 8:00 PM on March 31, 2026 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover.
