Charles Edward "Chuck" Dubbs

Charles Edgar “Chuck” Dubbs, 64, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2025.

Born on Monday, March 13, 1961 in Hanover, he was a son of Charles Edward Dubbs and Elva Mae (Jenkins) Dubbs, of Hanover. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Dubbs; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Chuck was a 1980 graduate of the York County School of Technology and proudly served his country in the US Army and National Guard. He will be long remembered as a hard worker and was employed as a truck driver with Estes Express Lines. An avid beach-goer, Chuck loved to visit the North and South Carolina beaches.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Sally “Zelda” Pritt of New Oxford; a brother, Edward Lee Dubbs of Lebanon; a sister, Robin Marie Bender and her husband, Brian, of Florida; two aunts, Naomi Slyder of York and Connie Messinger of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover. Military honors will be rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at a viewing at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
