Beverly Y. Stevens

Beverly Y. Stevens, 78, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Genesis Healthcare - Gettysburg Center.

Born on Sunday, April 4, 1948 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Mary (Brown) Utz. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Richard L. Stevens, who died in 2011. A 1967 graduate of Hanover High School, Beverly was an active lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her husband Richard, baking and always loved spending time with her family.

Beverly is survived by her two sons, Richard L. Stevens, Jr. and Craig A. Stevens and his wife Deb, all of Hanover; five grandchildren, Cody Stevens, Connor Stevens, Lily Stevens and her fiancé Jeffrey Jacoby, Cameron Stevens and Emily Stevens; four siblings, Diane “Dolly” Altland, Barry Utz and his wife Missy, Gene Utz and Cathy Trimmer and her husband Keith; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with The Rev. Dr. Kathy Vitalis Hoffman and The Rev. Faye C. Snyder officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor one hour prior to the service.
