Barbara Ann Kopp

Barbara Ann Kopp, 79, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at UPMC Hanover.

Born on Wednesday, March 19, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late George Henry Becker and Mildred Catherine Sipling Becker. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James “Jim” Kopp, Sr., her son, James L. Kopp, Jr.; and six siblings, Warren, Donald, George, and John Becker, Mildred Hertz, and Evelyn Smith. Barbara was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School. She enjoyed reading, painting, drawing, completing puzzle books, and feeding the squirrels and birds. Barbara was a big fan of Judge Judy, anything chocolate, and she absolutely loved ice cream. Most of all, she took great pride in raising her children, taking care of her grandchildren, and spending quality time with family.

Survivors include her two children, Katherine E. Lawrence and Tammy L. Kopp and her husband, Gary Payne; her chosen-son, Todd Blessing; five grandchildren, Billy Payne, Matthew Payne, Nicholas Kopp, McKenzie Latta, and Marlee Payne; four great grandchildren; seven siblings, Gloria Hooper, Dolores Martz, Rosemary Frey, Stanley Becker, Barry Becker, James Becker, and Russel Becker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
