Allen E. “Tom” Staub, 92, of Hanover, beloved husband of Sonia Noggle Staub, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Hanover Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Sunday, October 29, 1933 in East Berlin, he was a son of the late Ernest E. and Margaruite (Urick) Staub. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Staub; and a sister, Madeline “Honey” Kuhn. Tom proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1995, after 29 years of service, from the Borough of Hanover where he was the Director of Public Works for many years. Always wanting to be a good husband, father and grandfather, Tom dearly loved his family and was always a good provider.
Surviving in addition to Sonia, his wife of 63 years, are three children, Corey Noggle and his wife Patricia, of Mechanicsburg, Shelly Thomas and her husband Michael, of York, and Stacie Staub and her husband Gregory, of Hanover; six grandchildren, Chelsea Schultz and her husband Nathan, Tristan Noggle, Zachary Thomas, Kayli Barben and her husband Jake, and Shea and Connor Staub; two great-grandchildren, Sage and Alder Schultz; and a sister, Yvonne Rutters.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore Street in Hanover with military honors being rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of lowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1013 Mumma Road – Suite 203, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
