Sally M. McClintock Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sally Marlene McClintock, 74, of Hanover, loving wife of Donald J. “Duck” McClintock, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Wellspan York Hospital. Born on Tuesday, December 16, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Edna Stambaugh Stauffer. She was a 1966 graduate of Spring Grove High School and went on to attend a technical training program. Sally was a devoted member of St. David’s United Church of Christ where she was the organist for 22 years, served as the choir director for ten years, and media director for the last 13 years. She was a self-employed typesetter and editor for 35 years, working for various publishing companies. Sally was a member of the Autoharp Society and the Spring Grove Alumni Chorus. In addition to her husband of nearly 45 years, she is survived by a daughter, Hattie McClintock Gable and her husband, Scott, of Hanover; a son, Brion McClintock of Gardners; three grandchildren, Bella, Jarred and Kennedy Gable; one sister, Judy Stauffer; two brothers, Dennis and Larry Stauffer; and a half-brother, Robert Stauffer. She was preceded in death by a half-brother, William Strausbaugh; and two half-sisters, JoAnne Allison and Marie Reynolds. Sally had fond memories of her childhood living on a farm that would later become part of Codorus State Park and is the Hoff Road boat launch today. She was very talented and had many hobbies most that were self taught, including photography, playing the piano, organ, and autoharp, sewing and knitting just to name a few. Sally was proud of her faithful ministry to her church and fellow congregants. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and she showed this through her devotion as a wife, the pride she had for her children and the adoration she gave her grandchildren. Sally will be greatly missed by all who know and love her. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at St. David’s United Church of Christ with The Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the hour of the service.
