Kenneth L. Wentz

November 23, 1947 - October 22, 2021

Kenneth L. Wentz, 73, of Hanover, beloved husband of Anne Vigoletti Wentz, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home following a seven month battle with Leukemia. Born on Sunday, November 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Melvin Charles and Nora Selby Wentz. He is also preceded in death by a son, Scott Kenneth Wentz, who died in 2019; and a son-in-law, Jon Bredbenner, who died in 2014. A member of Grace United Methodist, he attended South Western High School and worked as a paper maker for P.H. Gladfelter for more than 30 years. Gifted with his hands, he was a member of the P.H. Gladfelter Quarter Century Club and enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to his garden and koi pond, and hatching chickens and ducks. In addition to his loving wife of 55 years, survivors include a daughter, Kathy A. Bredbenner; a daughter-in-law, Angie Wentz and her daughter, Brittany Culp; two grandsons, Dustin Bankert, his fiancée, Lauren Phillips, and her daughter, Natalie, and Brandon Bankert; a sister, Nadine Weaver and her husband, Larry; a niece, Sherri Wildasin; a nephew, Bob Wildasin; and a sister-in-law, Christine Forrest and her husband, Bob. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 4-6PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 311 Broadway, Hanover. For the health and safety of all attendees, the family requests that masks be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY, 10087.
