BiographyMary L. Hart Goetz, 79, of Biglerville, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was the wife of Paul C. Goetz, to whom she was married 33 years.Born December 22, 1930 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Mary Becker Hart, and was also preceded in death by a brother, William E. Hart and a sister, Betty Felix. Mrs. Goetz was a charter member of the Gettysburg Fire Company Auxiliary, the Fraternal Order of the Elk # 1562 in Gettysburg, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 121 in Emmitsburg, MD, and was also a member of National Society for Histotechnology and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. She was a former employee of Adams County Novelty Company in Gettysburg, Fort Detrick Cancer Research Center in Frederick, MD, and retired in 1991 from Hanover Hospital, where she worked for more than 12 years in the histology lab. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Deborah Ann Ripsom of Hercules, CA, and Lisa Ann Krom of Fairfield; five step-children, Paula Bruening of Savage, MD, Sharon Meredith of Havre de Grace, MD, Liz Baker of Gettysburg, Charles Goetz of Mercersburg, and David Goetz of Fairfield; three brothers, George R. Hart, Larry W. Hart, and John R. Hart all of Hanover; one sister, Carol L. Small of Hanover; four grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 12, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral
